Maintaing Resin Gifts

Where To Keep Resin Gifts

Please keep your resin purchase out of direct sunlight in a cool area of the house. If kept in a very warm room like a conservatory, in summer, in direct sunlight this can make the item become flexible, when it cools again it will harden back up, but this could then misshape the item.

Cleaning Resin Gifts

Epoxy resin is simply a form of unprocessed plastic, it needs to be gently cleaned, best approach is to use a dry microfibre cloth to wipe clean. Do not use any harsh chemicals when cleaning epoxy resin products as this can dull or even degrade the epoxy resin. Do not put any epoxy resin products/gifts through a dishwasher, these can get very hot and make the item flexible and misshaped.

Heat resistance

Your epoxy resin creations are only heat resistant up to temperatures of 70C. Please do not place anything straight from the oven onto your purchases. A warm mug should be ok, however sometimes having a really hot cup/mug placed on a resin coaster can make the item slightly flexible.

Removing Fingerprints

Your resin wall gifts may collect fingerprints on its surface when you handle it while moving or hanging it. To remove fingerprints, you can use a glass cleaner. In case your wall art seems to have more stubborn spots, use mild soap and water to clean it more effectively.

Never Use Alcohol to Clean

Although alcohol is a good cleaning agent for many household items, never use alcohol-based products to clean your resin wall art. This is because alcohol can break down resin, making it dull or sticky. Artists generally use alcohol to wipe and clean resin spills and clean their tools after creating their artwork, but never to clean their finished wall art..

Disposal of Resin Products

Your epoxy resin creation is designed as a keepsake/memorial piece/homeware item that is not designed to be a disposable item, it’s created for the longer term. It cannot be recycled and so if you do need to dispose of the item for any reason then please place in your normal waste bin.
